During the time of the Incas the population built a highly advanced network of nearly 40,000 thousand kilometers of trails to connect the distant corners of their vast empire. Cusco was the heart of this great empire. Almost all of the principal trails in the mountains surrounding Cusco were built or improved by the Incas. This beautiful 43km section of mountain trail connects the important Inca archaeological sites of Runcuracay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Wiñay Wayna and Machu Picchu has become popular with hikers in the last 30 years and has become known as the "Inca Trail to Machu Picchu".


You will be able to see the most important Inca Archeological Sites (Runcuracay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Wiñay Wayna) and have enough time to take pictures and enjoy the view. You will experience the real trail the Inca’s made during their time. Machu Picchu is the most famous archeological site because it is one of the seven modern world wonders and you will be able to walk this site.

Day by Day:

Day 1 : Cusco – Wiñay Huayna – Aguas Calientes

We will start from Cusco and take the bus to Poroy Station. After that we take the train towards Km 104. Then we start our short version of the Inca Trail. We hike through the archeological complex of Wiñay Huayna to start our way towards Aguas Calientes. In this town we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2 : Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco City

After getting up early, you will take the bus towards Machu Picchu. Then you will visit Machu Picchu together with our tourguide and then you will have free time to visit the site yourself. You can choose to walk the Machu Picchu Mountain or Waynapicchu. Afterwards we take the train and bus back to Cusco.
