Manu Cloud Paradise 3 days
Manu National Park is a cloud forest in the southern part of Peru, near Cusco. It is the largest National Park in Peru. The Park has one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world because of its geographical location and it is home to over 1000 species of birds.
During this three-day trip you are going to experience the beautiful cloud forest with its wonderful flora and fauna. You will be able to see various bird species, there is a chance to see plantations and view the historical Inca culture.
Day by day:
Day 1 Cusco – Cloud Forest
After an early departure from Cusco, we will travel through the diverse Andean landscape. On our journey it is possible to spot highland birds. We will pass pre-Inca Lupaca culture burial towers before arriving at the colonial-era town of Paucartambo. This town is the gateway to the Manu forests and we will have time to visit the local church and the historic Carlos V Bridge. We will continue to the Acjanaco Pass, the official entrance to Manu National Park. You will spend your night in our comfortable Paradise Lodge.
Day 2 Cloud Forest
Before breakfast we will venture into the forest to observe the cock-of-the-rock as the males perform their daily ritual. After breakfast we will spend the rest of the day exploring the surrounding forest at a leisurely pace. We will visit local farmers on their pineapple and coca leaf plantations. You are also able to watch birds, as we look out for quetzals and motmots, green jays and various tanagers. Our bus will be available to you at any time to take you to the main attractions. Those seeking more adventure can opt to experience mountain biking and water rafting.

Day 3 Cloud Forest – Cusco
After breakfast you will have time to relax at the lodge or to explore the surrounding area, before boarding our bus for the return to Cusco. On our way to Cusco, we will stop at various places, such as the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Inca archeological site of Pisaq.
