A brief experience of the most important sides of the Quechua, culture of southern Peruvian Andes is the focus of this four-day trip. Visit the city of Cusco, the ruins surrounding Cusco and experience Machu Picchu. Cusco, as the center of the Inca Empire, means ´Navel of the World´ in Quechua. It´s is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the entire Americas. Machu Picchu is also known as the ´Lost City of the Incas´. It is a World Heritage Site, never found by the Conquistadores and forgotten even by the Incas themselves.


When going on the Magic Cusco tour, you will be able to see the cultural highlights of Cusco and its surroundings, such as: The Cathedral, the Inca ruins and the archeological site of Pisaq. Moreover, you are going to see the wonder of Machu Picchu and you are able to climb on top of Wayna Picchu overlooking the ruins.

Day by day:

Day 1  Cusco City Tour:

One of our representatives will pick you up at the airport or train station to transfer you to your hotel. At the hotel you have some time to take a rest and a ´mate de coca´ (coca leaf tea), which will help you acclimatize to the altitude. Our first stop in Cusco is the Cathedral, after that we continue to Qoricancha (The Temple of the Sun). Later we will go to Sacsayhuaman to watch Cusco from above and to the ruins of Quengo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

Day 2  Pisaq – Ollontaytambo

On this day our first stop will be the archeological site of Pisaq, next we will consume a traditional Andean lunch. Later we will visit Ollantaytambo, where the spectacular ruins are a remaining example of Inca urban planning and are still in use today. This is also the place to shop at the local market for fine textiles before our drive back to Cusco.

Day 3  Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu

After an early breakfast we will take the train to Machu Picchu, the train runs through the spectacular landscape of the Sacred Valley. In Aguas Calientes we will take the bus and later our guided tour on foot to Machu Picchu begins. The guide will explain the ownders of the many famous parts of the city. After that you are able to climb to the top of Wayna Picchu to overlook the ruins or walk to Inti Punku (the Gate of the Sun). We return to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.

Day 4  Departure

On the last day we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back.
