Machu Picchu One Day Experience
The one-day trip to Machu Picchu is a great way to experience the worlds famous city/sanctuary, known as the “Crown Jewel of the Inca Empire”. After the Inca's were forced to retreat, the stunning site was covered by thick jungle vegetation until it was re-discovered by American archaeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911. In 1983 Machu Picchu was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even the most cynical visitors have described Machu Picchu as one of the most unforgettable places they have ever seen. Machu Picchu is the most famous archeological site because it is one of the seven modern world wonders and you will be able to walk this site.
You will experience a part of the real sites the Inca’s made during their time.
We will pick you up and take you to the Poroy train station by bus. The three-hour journey takes us through the spectacular scenery of the Sacred Valley, closely following the Urubamba River to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. After exploring Machu Picchu, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, and catch the return train to Cusco.
