Apu Salkantay Trek 6 days
The Salkantay Trek (or Salcantay Trek) is a trek that goes through one of the highest and most stunning mountain in the Peruvian Andes, called the Salkantay Mountain. This mountain is 6.271 meters / 20569ft high what will give you an impressive experience of the free space you will have during this trek.

Machu Picchu is the most famous archeological site because it is one of the seven modern world wonders and you will be able to walk this site two times to enjoy every place there is to see.
Day by Day:
Day 1 : Cusco – Mollepata - Soray
We leave Cusco towards the place of Anta Plateau. Here we will start the trek. By going through Mollepata we will set our camp in Soray.
Day 2 : Soray – Huayracmachay
We start our walk towards our second camp in Huayracmachay. During the walk we will go through the high pass called Portachuelo.

Day 3 : Huayracmachay - Collpapampa.
On the third day we will follow the route that the last Incas used to escape the Spanish army in the remote region of the Vilcabamba range. As we lose altitude, the weather warms but remains at a comfortable temperature. We set our camp in Collpapampa.

Day 4 : Collpapampa. - Lucmabamba
During the fourth day the trail crosses several creeks and passes by delightful waterfalls. We continue our walk to the campsite near the village of La Playa, also known as Miscabamba.

Day 5 : Lucmabamba – Machu Picchu
We start our last climb, crossing the Llactapata pass. There are Inca sites just on the other side of the pass and a spectacular panoramic view of the outline of Machu Picchu. We will spend the night at comfortable lodgings in Aguas Calientes, the town just below Machu Picchu.
Day 6 : Machu Picchu - Cusco
Early in the morning, we will take the bus up to the ruins to enjoy a guided-tour of this enigmatic site. Later on, you may choose to climb Wayna Picchu (2,700 meters), the jutting peak that overlooks the area, or Machu Picchu mountain (3,300 meters). Around mid-afternoon we will take the bus back to the train station for the return trip to Ollantaytambo in order to eventually take a bus to Cusco.
